Damn Am Skateboard Contest -Series Qualifier
Friday, September 19th - 21st (a 3 day event)
Midwest Bowl Riders Contest Series and Finale Party Saturday, Oct. 25th I've been slacking like mad. Sorry for anyone who actually comes to this site looking for updates. Here are some things you may like to know:
1) Jeremy Reeves is now on Fobia
2) Chris Patnaude got snatched up by BTD
3) Expression Skate shop opened in St. Paul
4) Platinum Seagulls is back
5) Medium Control's new summer line is in stores
6) There are a couple new links in the industry section
7) More skateparks to be added
8) New local links
9) New additions to the Mankato YMCA park. I don't have a damn thing to say about the Midwest Melee Contest, so if you want to read a little some something go to a better website I don't know that any of you give a shit about the Global X-Games, but if your interested read on. Basically the contest is an "X-treme" Olympics. They had 2 people come from 6 regions to compete in 12 diferent events.
In vert, Bucky took 1st edging out his team mate Andy Mac. I guess Dooner was judging down there in San Antonio.
As for street; I didn't see it on the tube yet, but I just hit up expn.com and found out that Froston gnabbed 1st and Rodil Jr. managed to get 2nd.
For more check back in a flash for more story and/or full results.
Little late on the news. Wes Hickman won the OUT contest to many peoples surprise. If you want more reading material, check out: If you've been living under a rock then you should know that Damn Am has chosen the Lair for its second contest site. This is huge for the Midwest scene, I'm talkin mad peeps flyin in from all over to rip it up, coverage in every skate mag, it'll be bangin. Word. |
